Grassroots is an award-winning two-hour program dedicated to playing and promoting bluegrass, folk, and acoustic music. Since 1992, Bill Ellison has hosted Grassroots, highlighting Mississippi’s historic and ongoing connections with these genres and the musicians who play them. Ellison, who is himself a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist, has performed professionally for over three decades. Grassroots airs for two hours on MPB Think Radio beginning at 8pm every Saturday night. Ellison resides in Madison, Mississippi.
